Attenuation Control

The tabbed interface in the Controls section of the ATOMControl User Interface contains

four tabs: the Device Info tab, the Mute tab, the Attenuation tab, and the Custom

Commands tab. The Attenuation tab can be used to monitor and control the Digital

Attenuator for an ATOM BUC.

Note that only ATOM BUCs have a Digital Attenuator; the attenuation controls are

greyed out for ATOM SSPAs.

If the Attenuation tab is selected, then attenuation monitoring will begin automatically

when the ATOMControl communication interface is successfully initialized. Monitoring is

automatically disabled when switching to a different tab, and is automatically re-enabled

when switching back to the Attenuation tab. Deinitializing the communication interface

while the Attenuation tab is selected will also disable attenuation monitoring.

Figure 10 below shows the Attenuation tab controls:
